HF MaxTM
Since the discovery of Brown's Gas (BG) in 1832, (the gas produced by dividing the molecules of water into hydrogen and oxygen gases) a good number of technologies have been developed which allow BG to be used as a fuel. In some cases, the BG partially replaces the fossil fuel. The HF MaxTM is one of the methods of using BG as a fuel for internal combustion engines. BG enhances combustion of any fossil fuel. Since BG is highly explosive, it enhances the combustion of any fossil fuel. When a small amount of BG is introduced into the combustion chamber of an internal combustion engine, the returned savings are much greater than the BG used. With an HF MaxTM you receive economy gain, performance increase, reduced harmful emissions and a cleaner engine. Most tests have revealed a 15 to 25 percent increase in MPG. To make the necessary modifications, the water is split into hydrogen and oxygen, using a process call “electrolysis”. (The electrolysis takes place in an “electrolyzer” container. ) The electrolyzer we have developed is specifically designed to be used as an on board fuel saving device. This on board electrolyzer is the HF MaxTM. The HF MaxTM model HFMax 945 is designed for large industrial applications where a large amount of hydrogen is required to get the desired results. It works well on larger engines and has the water capacity to work 12 to 20 hours on each refill. This is the best unit for installation on big diesel engines.

Installation of the Canister
1. Check that you have received all the parts listed previously under Parts List. If not, please call your local dealer or call 785-421-5740. If there is no answer leave a message and the office will get back with you as soon as possible. Make sure you have all the parts listed previously under Other Parts Needed.
2. Install the water sight assembly by screwing both elbows into the side of the unit. Use either Teflon tape or thread sealer compound on the adjoining area.
3. Locate the neoprene stopper and connect the chain ring around the top plastic elbow. Next slide the plastic tubing onto the top and bottom plastic elbows. You can follow the Water Sight Assembly Diagram in this manual.
4. Install the sight glass into the side of your HF MaxTM canister.
5. Attach the plastic fuel output tube under the air cleaner element to the dirty side of the air filter in such a way to prevent the air filter from getting wet if the canister is overfilled and to protect your engine.
6. Mount the canister unit firmly under the hood of the truck using the enclosed clamp bands, usually on the truck frame in front of the PS axle.
7. Follow the wiring Diagram in this manual to wire your canister to your vehicle.
8. Mount the amp gauge and toggle switch inside the cab of your vehicle in such a way that they would be visible and within reach while operating your vehicle.
9. Solder all electrical connections. ALL ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS MUST BE SOLDERED!
10.Use dielectric grease and lock washers on all other terminal connections. Bad wiring connections have been the biggest cause of low performance.
NOT FOLLOWING THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAN CAUSE POOR PERFORMANCE AND WILL POSSIBLY VOID THE WARRANTY!
Operation
Since pure water doesn't conduct electricity, to get the best results, a catalyst must be used. We are using Hydro-Power PlusTM (HPPTM) because in our test, it works the best. By controlling the amount of HPPTM in the water you can control the amperage draw. This unit is designed to operate on 25 to 35 amps, so that is the target amount of amp draw. Fill the canister ½ way up the sight glass with distilled water. Mix 3 level tablespoons of HPPTM in 1 cup of distilled water in a separate container and add to the canister. USING ANYTHING OTHER THAN DISTILLED WATER WILL VOID THE WARRANTY. Do not overfill. This should be about the right amount for the desired amp draw, but different vehicle voltages will effect this so each vehicle will vary slightly. Too high of an amp draw will result in tripping the breaker and will cause too high operating temperatures. This unit will not reach full output or amp draw for about 1 hour, and when cold, the amp draw will be about half of when it is warm. Included is enough HPPTM to get started. The HPPTM does not leave the generator so very little should be required as you add water. On most applications 1 level teaspoon of HPPTM per gallon of water should keep your amperage fairly consistent. This unit should be able to operate for 10 to 20 hours on one fill of water.
Maintenance
The electrical connections on top of the generator should be checked daily or at each refill time for tightness to insure a good connection, and proper performance. Always use distilled water to reduce the amount of sediment between service intervals. Therefore the warranty does not apply to physical or mechanical damage due directly or indirectly, to use, misuse, abuse, negligence or accident, repairs or alterations outside our facilities or to lack of maintenance. We shall in no event be liable for death, injuries to persons or property or for incidental, contingent, special or consequential damages arising from the use of our product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.
To take advantage of this warranty, the product or part must be returned to us with transportation charges prepaid. Proof of purchase, date, and an explanation of the complaint must accompany the merchandise. If our inspection verifies the defect, we will either repair, or replace the product at our election or we may elect to refund the purchase price if we cannot readily and quickly provide you the replacement. We will return repaired products at our expense, but if we determine there is no defect, or that the defect resulted from causes not within the scope of our warranty, then you must bear the cost of storing and returning the product.
